It’s May, which means summer is almost here in the northern hemisphere! It was still a little bit chilly when we went to the creek to take these pictures, but Sweet Pea is still young enough to not be too bothered by a bit of cold water. Childhood is fleeting and I want hers to be as magical as possible.
This year she was finally old enough to really have a say in the fabric choices and she picked out these flowers and purple (because that’s the best color ever) solid from The Fabric Fairy {they have great customer support, by the way!}.
I love two piece tankinis for Sweet Pea because they offer a lot of coverage but make bathroom breaks easy. The girls’ Agility Tank* pairs nicely with the girls’ Riptide Shorties*.
The Agility Tank has a lot of options, so make sure you read the instructions all the way through before you begin. You don’t want to skim over the part that says ‘if you’re doing the —- option, skip to step —‘ part and then have to just restart the whole top because it was a lot to use the seam ripper on… (don’t ask me how I know! lol).
The Riptide Shorties are completely reversible to create a different look with the same suit. Reversible might sound a little daunting, but it really wasn’t. The pattern walks you through everything step by step and there are even some youtube videos if you need more help.
