Introducing Candice Ayala Patterns!

Several months ago I became a member of Sewing Portfolios and not too long after that I had the privilege of working with Michael Miller Fabrics as an Ambassador. That’s when I “met” Candice who so wonderfully created a business so at-home hobby sewists like myself could showcase our talents.

Now she’s branched off into designing her own patterns and I was lucky enough to be able to test her first one, The Spirited Dress*, which appears exclusively in Issue 18* of One Thimble magazine.

It features a Queen Anne neckline and has a full circle shirt for maximum spirited twirling.

It comes in sizes 2-9 and is designed for fabric with at least 40% horizontal and 5% vertical stretch. While the neck opening night look a little small when you’re sitting at your sewing table, the 2t size had no problem fitting over almost 4 years old Sweet Pea’s head. {And that’s a reminder that I need to start thinking about how we’ll celebrate her birthday!}

I’m so happy that Candice’s business is thriving and that I was able to help, even in just this small little way. I can’t wait to see her future patterns!
