A New Summer Skirt!

Who doesn’t love the classic look of a nice, pleated skirt? It’s timeless and adorable.

I made this Get Your Craft Together Tally Skirt* from basic suiting fabric and some whimsical wooden butterfly buttons, both from JoAnn’s.

The back contains elastic for fitting and the front lays flat. It’s a fairly quick and easy sew, with pretty much all of it consisting of straight lines.

The skirt might not twirl as much as a full circle skirt, but Sweet Pea likes this skirt anyway. She thinks the butterflies are pretty and like to try to sneakily pull them off, haha.

The Tally Skirt can also be made as shorts and comes in sizes 6mo-12.
