Getting Ready For Fall

I love fall!!! Pumpkins. Colorful leaves. Football. Sweaters. Unfortunately I live in the south and cooler weather is still a long ways off, but a girl can dream… Maybe I’m crazy but I’ve started on my fall sewing even though it’s still in the upper 80s (30+C in other parts of the world) here.

My favorite sweaters are nice and cozy so this fuzzy fabric from Joann’s pairs perfectly with the new Sofia sweater from Sinclair Patterns.

I doubled the length of the wrist cuffs and added 2″ to the bottom for a bit of an oversized but still fitted look.

I also added two buttons on the left for decoration.

Sweet Pea loves this fabric too and is jealous of my sweater so I’m going to need to make something similar for her soon. The Hangout Hoodie* (minus the hood) from peek-a-boo has a similar neckline so that would be the easiest option for me. Simplicity also sells an 18mo-4t version that you can sometimes pick up for $1 at Joann’s.
