I’m so excited to be a part of this beautiful Sewing Up Spring blog tour hosted by Tibeca from Sewing by Ti! I love beauty and newness that spring brings and what better way to enjoy it all than to sew a new floral top that you can look amazing in for any occasion?
Last fall I fell in love with the Sasha Collection* during testing but haven’t made a Sasha since then. I don’t know why. It’s such a great, versatile pattern. You can dress it down for a morning at the playground or you can dress it up for a fun night out. I’m slightly embarrassed to count the number of times I’ve worn it in the short amount of time since I finished it… Oh well. It’s sew pretty!
Last fall I went with longer sleeves and darker, fall colors. This time I went with a gorgeous light silky floral print. It’s perfect for just about anything you want to do this spring!
On cooler spring days, it’s perfect to pair with jeans, a cardigan, and a scarf. And I’m also wearing my amazingly comfortable Chacos!
It’s also great for a night out with a special someone or some awesome girls.
I also whipped up (and by ‘whipped up’ I actually mean spent countless hours on and almost cried at least twice, but that’s a future blog post) a pair of Chi Town Chinos by Alina Design Co. using coral Kona cotton.
And lastly I made another ruffled halter from Oliver & S. The length and elastic on the back allow for it to transition from a tunic to top as my daughter grows and it’s free. It doesn’t get much better than that! 🙂
